Grace Community Church of Riverside: To take Jesus Christ to lost people and lost people to Jesus Christ

Guest Chef

We've all seen them if we choose to look—the homeless families living in their cars, parents and children living meal to meal—but it's hard to know what to do about it.

Path of Life Ministry has established a Community Emergency Shelter
for single men and women. This shelter is a 30-60 day program that serves adults by providing temporary housing along with assistance in obtaining important documents, job readiness, computer workshops, counseling, meals, hygiene supplies and bible studies. This program holds 129 beds for qualified single men and women with separate dormitories for each gender. This facility is managed by Shelter Director Toni Adkins who leads a paid staff of 17 full and part-time employees to facilitate this year-round emergency shelter.

Along with other churches, we help Path of Life in this ministry through the generous giving of our church family by providing two meals each month. Our dedicated Guest Chefs buy, prepare and serve a full meal with all the trimmings for the residents.

We already have two Guest Chef meal teams, but you can help by:

  • praying regularly for the residents
  • giving to the Guest Chef hat at Connection Central
